Gary,

My husband Jamie and I researched labrador retriever breeders for over a year. I could not have been more pleased to have been recommended to Urbana Labs. From our very first interaction by e mail Gary Francis was patient and understanding in answering all of my many questions about the breed, raising a puppy and the many responsibilities of an owner. I could tell that his concern was for the puppy and he wasn't going to let his pup end up in just any home.

Upon visiting Gary's kennel in Urbana, I was impressed with the clean facility and the family environment the dogs were being raised in. (the pups were well socalized, exposed to children and sometimes even let in the house)I also appreciated being able to meet both the mother and the father of the pup we were to adpot.

Abbey is now 6 and 1/2 months old. She is an integral part of our family and I am continually complimented on her demeanor and her dashing good looks.(see
photos) She has been an absolute pleasure and I wonder what my husband and I ever did without her. I recommend Urbana Labs with great enthusiasm to anyone who is considering the challenge of raising a labrodor puppy.

It should also be noted that Gary and his wife were kind enough to board Abbey when she was just a few months old. (the vet/boarding kennel would not take her because she did not have all of her shots) Urbana Labs could not have been more accomodating. It was such fun to see her with her mother and the few siblings that were left.

Hi Gary,

Tressel is one year today. I am not sure if you remember us but we got “Gunner” (was his name when we got him) last October from your family and since then it has been fun time and games. He is super high energy but really mellow when is time to be mellow. We are in love with him. I agree with the lady that wrote the comments on your site…these dogs are gorgeous. He is a huge puppy…well almost not a puppy anymore. Super friendly and loving to anything and everything. I always tell him I love that he shows no discrimination towards his toys too; all toys play an important part of his puppy life. Loves to destroy his toys with stuffing but even with no stuffing he plays with them all…its funny.

No accidents for sure. Remember he was the one that did those 20 x 360’s for us…we thought something was wrong with him and he just need it to do number2. Training him was a breeze. He knows every single trick you can mention. He loves to play football with the boys running back and forth when Scottie is passing the ball. It’s cute to watch. Swimming is the best thing you can ask him to do. Lake and boat rides are his thing.

I wanted to send you a couple pictures for your archives also we say thank you for our loving good looking dog.

Dear Gary & Urbana Labs

I just wanted to drop you a line to say how happy I am with my pup from Urbana Labs. As you know, I adopted Henry to help me through the inevitable loss of my dear old lab, Molly, whom I adopted from Lab Rescue. Throughout my life, I'd always had rescue dogs, so the thought of raising a puppy was both exciting and daunting. I am happy to report that despite being sleep deprived, I'm totally in love with Henry and he did, indeed, help me through one of the hardest times in my life, losing Molly. For seven months, they were great pals and Molly definitely helped to train Henry, while Henry helped keep Molly active and engaged.

Thanks so much for bringing this fun and spirited dog into my life. He is a gem.

Sincerely,

Amy
